Black Lake Debut

Black Lake is the first feature film produced by Telos Ensemble and is currently in post-production.


The film stars Tora Hallstrom (Hilma & Hachi: A Dog’s Tale) and Mitchell Pope, marking Dan Blick’s feature film debut as a director and writer. It is an adaptation of Blick’s stageplay Lake George, which Telos Ensemble first previewed Off-Broadway at the Chain Theatre in November 2024.

Black Lake is currently set for release in 2026 following a round of festival submissions. It was shot in August 2025 in East Tawas, Michigan. You can follow our journey on Instagram @blacklakefilm
